This is the head that I have been working on since yesterday its been quite hard to model this face the lips have been pain to model. Not quite finished yet clearly but I've put a mesh smooth on just to make him look a bit more good looking.
Here are my two ideas for my Russian time traveller the coat I will make as a spare model which I might use depending on weather I have the time to make it.
There is more I would add to my level but I don't have the time any more, I have learnt a lot from this task. Here is some screen shots of what I have produced.
Added a texture and a normal map to my upside down tower going to add some bolts then texture the ladder and a hatch. Then it shall be place into unreal along with the stairs which I'll do tomorrow.
Having trouble with the lights but am happy with them at the minute, Started to put more meshes into unreal just need to unwrap some more objects and make the place more lively.
I wanted to test to see if the normal map would do what I thought it would and it did I like how this model has turned out now for the rest of the assets will I shall work on over the coming days.
A late update but never the less its here. I've had to change my walk way as I was only making things harder for myself rather then make a whole model I've made little bits such as the corner and the walk way itself. I've made the steps and started to add little details which I can use through out my level such as lights and bolts. I do believe I've chosen a had year in which the level is set but I shall pull through.
Having finished the house which I am very happy with, am glad in a sense that I lost my work simply because I believe I did better the second time round and it didn't take long to chatch up. Now we have the new task at hand making a prison of some erea am sure this will be a challange.
The end draws near on the house but there is still much more to do having capturing all the photos I need the house is starting to come more alive I am pleased at this moment in time as how it has come to be no real problems to be fair at this moment in time.
After losing my texture work I've quickly got up to date and believe I've improved there is an issue with the roof texture which I'll fix soon going to start working on the inside of the house, am going with "There was a fire" story. The smoke and burn effect around the windows is poor in my eye need alot more work. Not sure what texture to use on the door I maybe a wooden one. Will be old and dirty when finished.
I've textured the fence but all so deleted the frame which has left me with a gap am not quite sure how to fill I will have to wait and work on something else until this issue is fixed
Changing my idea a few times as to how the outside will look I've decided to go with this look, the chimney will have the same effect but mostly bricks with some smut going down the brick work from the top. Then its on to the inside or maybe the fence.
Wasting no time we started with our new module all to do with texturing. Not quite sure what the story is going to be I guess that will come together as I progress.
Learning new methods of texturing such as normal mapping was confusing but I understand it fully now. Apart from I don't know why there is lines going down the texture.
This is the Main character i've been working on for the past two weeks for our game idea. I believe I have progressed really well with my drawing skills.
